Like it or not, cyclocross season is coming to an end. Without weekends playing in the mud, our thoughts at Panaracer are quickly turning to winter rides. The leaves are on the ground, the snow is starting to blanket much of the US, and the temperature in the mornings is just the wrong side of ‘fresh’. The quiet and empty threads of singletrack through the woods that are so packed in the summer are now deserted as the temperature falls. The Gravelking range of tires has grown for 2016 to include new sizes in both our small knob (SK) and slick versions. The slick version gains a 32mm size alongside the existing 23mm, 26mm and 28mm sizes. The new width is perfect for bikes with the clearance to push the limits of “road bikes” even further. The tough 120 tpi casing is more than enough to tackle Roubaix style racing and riding, and is the perfect winter tread to take you through the grit, gravel and snowy roads.
Alongside the slick version, the 40 mm Gravelking SK has been developed with the help from our pro riders on the American Classic Gravel team. This is a tire that can easily take on rough races such as the Dirty Kanza. The 40 mm tire will join the line up next to the existing 32 mm SK size.
