For over 70 years Panaracer has an illustrious history of producing the highest quality bicycle tires and tubes in the world.
From utility to the highest end bikes, Panaracer has constantly taken on new challenges to create “World-First” products that employ
new and innovative manufacturing methods that have been used by many cyclists.
Today we are a global brand with an ever-growing selection of tires and tubes that range from road, gravel, MTB, e-bike, and wheelchair offerings.

History
1952
National Tire Co.,Ltd. was established as cycle tire factory in Osaka.
1963
Started production of first cycle tire with nylon single code.
1965
Tamba National Tire Co., Ltd. was established in Hikami-gun(current Tamba-city), Hyogo.
1969
Started exporting to the US.
1970
Developed the premium skin-side tire for road bike.
1971
Developed the world’s first bicycle radial tire.
1976
Developed the world’s first nylon-code tubular tire for competition use.
1979
Established the tire brand “Panaracer”.
1980
Japanese rider won world championship with Panarecer tubular tire.
1986
Developed the world’s first polyurethane tube.
1990
A rider using our MTB tire “Smoke” won the world championship.
1994
Succeeded in developing a new compound technology, Binary Function Compound System.
1995
Riders using our tires won titles at MTB World Championships and All Japan MTB Championships.
1999
National Tire Co., Ltd. and Tamba National Tire Co., Ltd. merged.
Succeeded in developing a new compound technology, Zero Slip Grip Compound.
A rider using our “Stradias” won stage at European professional road race “Vuelta a España”.
Started sales of “Stradias” road tires containing silica.
2000
MTB tire “Fire XC Pro” selected as a TopTen product in the United States (Mountain Bike Action magazine).
2001
A team using our “Stradias PRO” tires won two stage at the Giro d’Italia (first win with Japan made tires).
The team using our tire “Fire XC Pro” won the US domestic series championship.
Japanese riders using our “MACH SS/SK” won double championships at the All Japan MTB Championships and
the Asian MTB Championships.
2002
The team using our Stradias Extreme tires won a stage at the Giro d’Italia.
2003
The team using our tires won a stage at the Giro d’Italia.
2004
Launched sales of the racing tube “R’AIR” that adopted the new compound technology Air Flex Lite Butyl Compound.
A rider using our tires won the 2nd place in the individual all-around at the Giro d’Italia. First podium with Japanese tires.
2005
Relocated the head office to Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Participated in the Tour de France for the first time as a Japanese tire.
2008
Changed the company name to “Panasonic PolyTechnology Co.,Ltd.”.
2014
Launched sales of gravel tire “GRAVELKING”.
2015
Changed the company name to “Panaracer Corporation”.
2021
Renewal of the company logo.
Shigeyuki Masuda of Utsunomiya Blitzen, which we support, won the individual all-around at the Tour of Japan.
Shigeyuki Masuda (Utsunomiya Blitzen) won the All Japan Championship Individual Time Trial for the second consecutive time.
2022
70th anniversary of establishment.
Launched sales of “AGILEST” for road bike.
