TSG DOUBLE VICTORIES IN INDONESIA2017.04.20
Tour de Lombok April 13 to April 16 2017.
Scenic island of Lombok Indonesia just east of Bali is known for beaches and surfing. This year the island played host to new UCI Asia race Tour de Lombok, attracting top international teams from Japan, Korea, Mideast, China, Australia and Southeast Asia. However riders did not have much time to enjoy the beautiful beaches as they tackled steep climbs around the island over 4 days and close to 600km. TSG’s team leader and local Indonesia rider Dadi Suryadi performed well consistently from day one, finishing 8th overall in General Classification and winning Best Overall Indonesian jersey. On the stage 4 last day of the competition, TSG’s Sharul Mat Amin perhaps inspired by the historical Malaysian Azizul Awang’s victory in Keirin event at world track championship just days before, wheelied his bike across the finish line to take stunning stage win over formal World Tour rider Jon Aberasturi of Team Ukyo.
JiExpo Night Criterium April 15 and 16 2017
This major night criterium event attracting thousands amatuer cyclists as well as professional teams to Jarkata International Expo center in captical city of Indonesia. TSG’s riders dominated the race from the start to finish of the 25 laps race. TSG’s Zamri Saleh won the race with Harrif Saleh and Anuar Manan finishing 3rd and 4th.
