Maral-Erdene delivered his maiden victory for TSG in Japan2017.04.05

Tour de Tochigi Japan March 31st to April 2nd 2017

3 days race near Tokyo Japan. With temperature hovering just above freezing, it was hardest element to overcome for TSG riders who been training and racing in tropical weather in the last few months. However on day two, TSG’s Maral-Erdene Batmunkh was able to deliver a fantastic sprint victory from a small group of 12 breakaway riders which finished 1 minute ahead of chasing peloton. This is the first UCI race victory for Maral since joined TSG in 2016. Maral has always been very strong in training and racing, he had several good results in 2016 which included 3^rd GC in Tour de Filipinas and KOM Winner in Tour of China 1. He is getting more racing experience with TSG and finally able to deliver a stage victory against very competitive field in Japan. Maral is only 22 this year and he is confident this will be first of many more victories to come. On Stage 3, TSG’s Sharul Mat Amin delivered another good result finishing 6^th place on the last day of racing to wrap up Tour de Tochigi.

Tour of Thailand April 1^st to April 6^th 2017 In addition to this excellent result in Japan, two TSG riders Harrif Saleh and Amirull Mazuki are racing in Tour of Thailand under Malaysian National Team. 6 days race started on from Bangkok will end in Chiangmai. On stage 3 yesterday and stage 4 today, Harrif finished on the podium two days in a row narrowly beaten by the stage winners in the bunch sprint.
